Folklorist and astrophysicist Moiya McTier wrote a witty book about the Milky Way, which was published by Grand Central Publishing in 2022 (congrats Moiya!). She asked us to bring the Milky Way to life through illustrations— between a cute little Milky Way who was always up to something new, to scientific diagrams, to whimsical illustrations of folklore, we loved every aspect of this book illustration project.

We also designed Moiya’s branding with the intention of being both playful and smart. It features an illustration of her looking up at the stars to add a very personal touch.
