Moonflower Design Co. is a Seattle-based floral studio, creating floral designs custom-tailored to each love story while also minimizing environmental impact. The brand specializes in modern, luxe florals with a touch of whimsy and wildness, and it was important to communicate this juxtaposition through the brand system. Sophisticated, but approachable. Bohemian and hand-crafted, but at home in a luxury event space.
We started the process by diving into the meaning behind the Moonflower name. A flower that only blooms at night, moonflowers are a powerful representation of beauty out of darkness, which felt particularly poignant to Sam as she began this career change during the height of Covid-19. The flower mark honors these roots, and we also wrote the tagline with this meaning in mind.
The dots on either side allude to nighttime and the planets in the solar system in an abstract way, whispering the feeling of being anchored in something bigger than oneself. Because isn’t that kind of what love is, after all?
